Clarification Points About Religious Exemptions

We've received several questions regarding the Religious Exemption process for DIE training. This email serves to clarify a couple of points.

  • You cannot receive a blanket exemption to opt out of all future training. Each individual requirement to complete a training segment will require its own Religious Exemption process. We understand that this is cumbersome; however, that is the way the company is handling the process at this time. Please wait until the next training requirement before you file, so that we don't waste corporate resources on the process.

  • If you've already completed training in the past, it's done. There is no need, or opportunity, to receive an exemption for training that you've already completed.

  • Don't worry about the process when the company emails you or calls to discuss. Simply state your closely held personal beliefs and answer their questions with integrity. At this time, no employee who has applied for an exemption was treated with disdain or hostility. We appreciate the accommodations team for acting as professionals!

  • If you missed it in the prior email, exemptions can be found by going to the company website and searching for "Workplace Accommodations," then clicking on "Religious Accommodations."

  • As always, when talking to fellow employees, remind them that anyone from any workgroup is allowed the exemption process per Federal Law.

  • Emails are always cross-posted to the website. If someone you know hasn't received the email or wants to review the material, send them to our website in the Updates section.

  • The Religious Liberty Protection Kit was graciously provided to us free of charge by First Liberty to help guide you in understanding the process.
